Virtue Drinks Secures £2m Funding to Propel Global Growth

Virtue Drinks, a pioneering clean-label beverage company, has successfully closed a £2m funding round as it gears up to expand its footprint in the UK and international markets.

This latest round, which brings total investment in the company to £5m, saw contributions from BrewDog co-founder James Watt and Premier League footballer and England international Eberechi Eze.

James Watt, renowned for scaling BrewDog into a global powerhouse, will take on the role of strategic advisor to Virtue founder Rahi Daneshmand. Watt’s guidance will focus on scaling Virtue’s operations and reach worldwide.

Eberechi Eze, on the other hand, will be actively involved in Virtue’s marketing efforts, leveraging his platform to amplify the brand’s presence in the market.

Speaking on the investment, Watt remarked that it’s seldom they come across a drinks brand that genuinely excites them. Virtue is an amazing product led by a brilliant entrepreneur. They first discovered Virtue as a customer, and they are delighted to now help guide their growth journey.

Daneshmand, founder and CEO of Virtue Drinks, echoed the enthusiasm, stating that they are thrilled to partner with James Watt and Eberechi Eze to build the leading clean energy drink brand globally.

Furthermore, their belief in their vision and commitment to their growth underscores the positive impact that they aim to achieve together. As the first all-natural energy drink with zero sugar and zero calories, Virtue is poised to lead the way for clean energy.

The funding will be instrumental in strengthening Virtue’s marketing strategy, with a focus on increasing brand awareness across the UK, Europe, and beyond. The investment will also support team growth and significantly boost the brand’s global distribution efforts.

Founded in 2016, Virtue Drinks has carved a niche in the beverage market by offering a clean-label alternative to sugary and artificial energy drinks. Powered by yerba mate, a green leaf brimming with 24 essential vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids, and more antioxidants than green tea, Virtue provides a healthier, sustainable option for energy seekers.

What’s more, the brand is certified carbon neutral, vegan, and currently sold in 20 countries, with notable stockists including Waitrose, Whole Foods Market, Ocado, and Carrefour.

To conclude, these new partnerships signal the start of an exciting chapter for Virtue Drinks. As the brand scales new heights, Daneshmand and his team are eager to see more consumers worldwide enjoy the benefits of clean energy.
