Plenish Unveils UK’s First Clean-Label Fortified Oat Drink
Plenish, the leading plant-based beverage brand, has launched a groundbreaking new product in the UK’s dairy alternatives market.
Introducing Plenish Enriched Oat Milk, the ‘first of its kind’ clean-label oat drink fortified with essential vitamins and minerals. Designed to cater to the increasing demand for fortified plant-based nutrition, the latest addition to Plenish’s range delivers 30% of daily calcium needs per 100ml, doubling the amount found in other fortified plant-based drinks available in the United Kingdom.
The new oat drink contains vitamin D, B12, riboflavin, and iodine, all while maintaining Plenish’s signature commitment to simplicity and transparency. The product is made from just three core ingredients – oats, water, and salt – with no added oils, additives, or sugars.
Additionally, the drink provides a natural source of fibre, ensuring that consumers receive both taste and nutrition in every sip. What’s more, the launch coincides with a refresh of Plenish’s entire Milk range, which includes the reformulation of its Organic Oat Milk.
Speaking on the development, the Managing Director of Breakthrough Brands at Carlsberg Britvic, Plenish’s parent company, emphasised the brand’s commitment to providing retailers with innovative plant-based options that meet modern consumer demands.
They reiterated Plenish’s dedication to ingredient transparency, ensuring that every product reflects its ethos of minimal processing and maximum nutrition. They explained that their reformulated Organic Oat Milk continues to feature just three simple, natural ingredients, but now with a creamier texture, while Plenish Enriched Oat Milk caters to the growing demand for fortified nutrition, with ingredients specifically chosen for their genuine health benefits.
The company also highlighted the £364 million valuation of the UK’s dairy alternatives sector, reinforcing the increasing role of fortified plant-based drinks in providing balanced nutrition.
Plenish Enriched Oat Milk is now available nationwide in Tesco stores for £2.25, with Ocado and Amazon listings set to launch on 28 April. Consumers can also purchase the product directly from plenishdrinks.com.
Based in Exmoor Street, West London, Plenish has built a strong reputation for producing plant-based milks and plant-powered juice drinks using organic and sustainably sourced ingredients.
The brand was founded in 2012 by Kara Rosen, a native New Yorker who sought a healthier, sugar-free alternative to traditional cold-pressed juices after struggling with a recurring health issue. Recognising a gap in the UK market, she set out to create clean, nutritious plant-based beverages that would later become a staple in leading supermarkets such as Waitrose and Ocado.
To conclude, with transparency, taste, and nutrition at its core, Plenish continues to push boundaries in the plant-based drinks sector. The launch of Plenish Enriched Oat Milk is a testament to the brand’s commitment to delivering high-quality, minimally processed products that support healthier lifestyles.
As the demand for fortified, clean-label alternatives continues to grow, Plenish is well-positioned to lead the way, ensuring consumers no longer have to compromise between nutrition, simplicity, and sustainability.
