Kentish Oils and Condiments Expands Operations

Kentish Oils and Condiments, a leading producer of high-quality cold-pressed oils, has made a significant leap forward by relocating to a new purpose-built, state-of-the-art factory near Sandwich, Kent

This strategic move follows a period of remarkable growth for the company, underpinned by securing substantial contracts with Cook, the award-winning frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Sittingbourne, and Higgidy Pies, a Shoreham-based producer of gourmet pies and quiches.

The newly constructed factory represents a major investment in the future of Kentish Oils and Condiments. The facility boasts cutting-edge technology and a development kitchen outfitted with an expanded range of modern equipment.

This enhanced infrastructure is designed to increase production capacity, enabling the company to meet the growing demand for its products. Additionally, it positions Kentish Oils and Condiments to collaborate with other companies on ‘own label’ products, thereby expanding their market reach.

One of the key highlights of the new factory is the inclusion of new equipment capable of producing hot fill products, such as jams and chutneys. This significant addition to their production line allows Kentish Oils and Condiments to diversify their product offerings, catering to a wider array of customer preferences and market demands

The owner of Kentish Oils and Condiments expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, highlighting the potential for developing new partnerships and enhancing their product innovation capabilities.

They stated that it’s such an exciting time for the business, with the new factory marking the next stage in their ambitious growth plans.

Their state-of-the-art facilities will allow them to develop further partnerships and collaborate with bigger food manufacturing businesses like Cook and Higgidy Pies, along with plenty of their own product development too, which they know their customers have been looking forward to.

Currently, manufacturing in the new unit has already commenced, signalling the beginning of a new chapter for the company. The development kitchen, a critical component of the expansion, is scheduled to be fully operational by September.

This kitchen will serve as a hub for innovation, enabling the company to experiment with new recipes, refine existing products, and respond more swiftly to market trends and consumer demands.

In summary, the relocation to a new, purpose-built factory near Sandwich, Kent, is a transformative step for Kentish Oils and Condiments. The increased production capacity, advanced equipment, and dedicated development kitchen not only enhance their ability to meet existing demand but also open up new opportunities for growth and collaboration.

What’s more, this expansion is a clear indication of the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation, setting a solid foundation for future success.

As Kentish Oils and Condiments continues to grow and evolve, customers and partners alike can look forward to a broader range of high-quality products and more exciting developments from this dynamic company.
