As a part of our growth strategy, we are creating a new position for an OEM Sales Engineer to drive growth in companies that seek to automate weighing processes or integrate weighing into their solutions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to spearhead sales efforts targeting equipment manufacturers in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence within the automation field, focusing on selling scales, load cells, amplifiers and associated accessories such as load cell mounts, junction boxes and zener barriers.

This position demands a thorough understanding of the weighing industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully developing business through partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the OEM sector, specifically targeting companies involved in automating weighing processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in equipment manufacturing companies.
Sales Strategy
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Work with the marketing team to create strategies.
  • Collaborate with the systems team to align technical solutions with customer needs.
Product Knowledge
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of load cells and load cell amplifiers, including technical specifications and applications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with the systems team to provide seamless technical support to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to enhance the overall customer experience.
Market Analysis
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide regular reports on market intelligence, sales performance, and key learnings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in business development within the weighing industry, with a focus on OEM sales.
  • In-depth knowledge of load cells and load cell amplifiers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in OEM sales within the weighing industry.

Location:

This role is field based in the United Kingdom, with a primary focus on the UK and EU markets.
Travel to UK and EU partners is required on occasion for training and sales visits.
