Higgidy Welcomes Spring with Bold New Quiche Flavours
British pie and quiche maker Higgidy is ushering in the season of fresh air and relaxed lunches with a vibrant expansion of its popular quiche range.
This spring, the Sussex-based brand introduces two bold new flavour additions and an elevated update to one of its long-time favourites, just in time for al fresco dining and lighter mealtimes.
Leading the seasonal line-up is the Tuscan-Inspired Red Pepper & Marinated Tomato Quiche with Roasted Aubergine (400g). Designed to be shared, this six-inch showstopper boasts a rustic seeded shortcrust pastry filled with sweet red peppers, marinated tomatoes, roasted aubergine purée and aromatic basil in a free-range egg filling.
The quiche is finished with a flourish of roasted red peppers, mature Cheddar and a scattering of pumpkin seeds – offering both depth of flavour and visual appeal.
Joining the range in a more compact format is the Mature Cheddar & Crispy Chilli Oil Little Quiche with Spring Onions (155g).
This punchy new addition comes encased in a seeded spelt shortcrust pastry and is generously topped with Red Leicester cheese, golden crispy onions, and a drizzle of fiery chilli oil. It’s a nod to those who like a little heat with their springtime bites.
Not stopping there, Higgidy has reimagined its much-loved tomato and feta quiche to reflect a more indulgent Mediterranean character.
The newly named Whipped Greek Feta & Roasted Tomato Quiche with Spinach blends creamy Greek Feta and ricotta with rich tomato paste and free-range egg, layered with vibrant spinach and crowned with roasted cherry tomatoes and crumbled Feta for a sun-kissed finish.
These latest innovations join Higgidy’s colourful and imaginative stable of quiches, which already includes favourites like the Garlic-Roasted Broccoli & Vintage Cheddar Quiche, Spinach, Greek Feta & Roasted Red Pepper Quiche, and Beechwood Smoked Bacon & Mature Cheddar Quiche.
The new Little Quiche also finds a home alongside the existing quartet of smaller quiches: Smoked Salmon & Spinach, Roasted Tomato & Greek Feta, Smoked Ham Hock & Mature Cheddar, and the plant-based Porcini Mushroom & Spinach Quiche.
Availability and Pricing:
- The Tuscan-Inspired Quiche will launch at Tesco from 7th April, Sainsbury’s from 9th April, and Waitrose and Ocado from 23rd April, with an RRP of £4.60.
- The Crispy Chilli Oil & Mature Cheddar Little Quiche will be stocked at Ocado from 23rd April, followed by Waitrose, Tesco, and Booths from 30th April, priced at £3.
