As a small company with a reputation for excellent customer service, we take real pride in selecting the best engineers in the industry, as well as training the next generation of engineers through our apprenticeship program. Our engineers have decades of experience between them and are always here to help – whether you have a technical question or just need some advice.

  UK Service Manager

  Gary joined MWS in March 2019. Starting in the weighing industry in 2001, he has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to service and support of customers.

  Steven Bowles

  Senior Service Engineer

  Steven comes to MWS with over 15 years of experience in the weighing industry. Steven works from our North East service centre in County Durham.

  Ian Farnsworth

  Industrial Systems Manager

  Ian manages the delivery of industrial systems from installation and ongoing site support.

  James Nattrass

  Senior Engineer

  James lives in the Midlands and supports our client calibrations and breakdowns.

  Industrial Systems Engineer

  Joining MWS in 2022 as a Trainee Engineer, Med has a thirst for knowledge and is a fast learner.

  Daniel Brown

  Workshop Supervisor

  Daniel joined MWS after moving from Jamaica where he worked in the weighing industry for 20 years.

  John Davison

  Service Engineer

  John joined MWS in September 2020. He operates from our North East Service Centre alongside Steven Bowles and James Nattrass. John is an experienced engineer with high competence in UKAS calibrations.

  Service Engineer

  Gerald emigrated from Jamaica to the UK and joined the company mid 2022 under a sponsorship VISA, he has 6 years experience in industrial weighing.

  Service Engineer

  Orville emigrated from Jamaica to the UK and joined the company in 2023, having previously worked as a scale service technician.

  Harry Farnsworth

  Service Engineer

  Harry has been part of the MWS team for four years. He works closely with the other service engineers and is a valued member of the service team.

  Christopher joined MWS in 2024 to assist the Durham service team with our growing client base up north.
